What’s are the requirements to become a member of the Coquille River Detachment?
You must become a member of the Marine Corps League by submitting an application to the detachment. Those individuals who are not qualified to join as a regular member of the Marine Corps League may be accepted as Associate members of the detachment.
What are the requirements to become a member of the Marine Corps League?
The Marine Corps League (MCL) is a Marine Corps oriented organization. Membership in the MCL is comprised of Regular Members and Associate Members. To be eligible for Regular member in the MCL a person must meet one of the following criteria: Person who is serving, or has served honorably in the United States Marine Corps "on active duty", for not less than ninety (90) days, and persons who are serving, or have served in the United States Marine Corps reserve, and have earned no less than ninety (90) reserve retirement credit points; United States Navy Corpsmen and who have trained and served with United States Marine Fleet Marine Forces (FMF) units in excess of ninety (90) days and have earned the Marine Corps device (clasp) worn on the service ribbon, and those who earn the Warfare Device authorized for FMF Corpsman; and United States Navy Chaplains having earned the FMF Badge serving with Marines. Those individuals who are not qualified to join as regular members of the MCL may be accepted as Associate Members.
Are there dues to pay and how much are they?
Yes there are dues. The yearly amount for being a Member at Large (not associated with any detachment) of the Marine Corps League is $30.00. The yearly amount of dues in a detachment of the Marine Corps League will vary depending on the detachment you are joining.
